I never write reviews, but Dickey was awesome to work with, and the installation team was really good. I had it built on site, and they were friendly and efficient, and did really great workI was looking at some other options from Home Depot and Lowes and I'm really glad I decided to spend a little bit more (not way more) to get a very solid shed that looks great and will last. It's really well made, level, and sturdy. My wife is happy too!!

I LOVE my shed from Affordable Portable! I got a custom built shell, built on-site in my backyard and then I gradually finished it out with various other contractors over the course of about a year. It's now its own fully finished-out room. Dickey was so helpful in helping me design my little dream shed and was helpful with recommending some of the other contractors as well. It's cheaper than getting a pre-fab finished shed from other companies, you get to custom design it, and you can finish it out on your own time frame as your budget allows. I'm really excited by the outcome.

Can't say enough good things about these folks. This company was able to work with the various HOA demands and restrictions (height, materials, color, size, you name it!). They fitted me in quickly, and install was completed in less than a day. Everything is straight, level and well put together. Compare with others and you'll see the extra attention to detail like the 3/4" floor (thinner with many competitors), 16" O.C studs, wide access doors. They'll also work with you to customize things where needed. I think the price was competitive and worth it for what I got. I looked at these reviews before making my decision so I hope this helps folks who are considering working with Max and his team.

I need to apologize to Dickey at affordable portable. He and his crew really went the extra mile and did a site build for me and I took so long to write this review. I look at my 16x20 shed everyday and think how good it looks and how solid it was built. Dicky worked with me from day 1 and did a great job communicating throughout process. He fit me in to his busy schedule and delivered as he promised. I won’t work with any other portable company. Thanks Dickey!

No low quality 5/8" or 1/2" plywood here.

Engineered for quality

Building storage sheds, portable buildings, barns and buildings since 1984 has given us the experience to engineer high quality buildings that will last.

It's the little things that add up to a well designed building. Here are a few of those things below.

16" On-Center

2" x 4" Stud Walls

Studs are placed 16" apart for maximum strength.

To save money, some competitors place their studs 20" or even further apart. This results in weaker walls - no thanks.

2" x 4" Double Top Plates

Double top plates means the sturdy, strong walls and roof will last.

Some competitors only use one top plate to cut costs. It's simply not strong enough for our products.

2" x 4" Bottom Plate

Some competitors cut corners by having no bottom plate.

Cutting corners like this is not the way we build our products. At Affordable Portable Structures quality comes first.

Strong 2"x4" trusses reinforced with double gussets

Double gussets are used for double the strength.

And, we reduce waste by reusing plywood for the gussets.
